Introduction to Glass Fusing – Christmas Decorations Workshop
Discover the art of glass fusing in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. You’ll be introduced to key techniques and topics including safety, glass types, design principles, fusing processes, and the use of inclusions.
You’ll practice scoring, cutting, and breaking glass before designing and creating your own unique Christmas hanging panel or standing Christmas tree decoration. You’ll have the choice to make either one larger piece or two smaller decorations – perfect for the window or wall. If time allows, you'll also have the option to purchase additional materials to create more.
What to Bring & Know:
Please wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair for safety.
Bring your own lunch to enjoy during the break.
If you have allergies to plasters or gloves, bring your preferred alternatives. While every care is taken, we will be working with sharp glass and small cuts can occasionally occur.
Once completed, your piece(s) will be kiln-fired (approx. 16 hours) and ready for collection in about a week. Alternatively, they can be posted to you for £5.
Location & Accessibility:
Workshops are held at Unit 18c, Crawley Mill Industrial Estate, OX29 9TJ. Please note the studio is accessed via a flight of stairs.
