Have you always wanted to try dressmaking but don’t know where to start? Feeling unsure about using sewing patterns or worried about tricky techniques? Join Alyson Jane at our friendly riverside textile studio in Witney, Oxfordshire for a relaxed, supportive beginner’s sewing workshop.
In this one-day class, you’ll make the Stevie Dress by Tilly and the Buttons – a fantastic first garment project with no zips, darts, or set-in sleeves. Stevie is a fun, modern design with a boxy fit and grown-on sleeves, making it the perfect easy sewing pattern for beginners.
Whether you choose to make the tunic dress or a top version, you'll finish the day with a stylish handmade piece and the confidence to keep sewing!

A printed copy of the Stevie Dress pattern (worth £18.50) to take home
Use of our sewing machines (or bring your own)
Tea, coffee & a sweet treat
